This homemade face mask is fabulous for all skin types. I left it on for 10 minutes then rinsed the dry mask off. After I love to use this facial serum to keep my skin both clean and moisturized.
What you’ll need:
- 2 teaspoons Calcium Bentonite Clay
- 2 teaspoons Lavender Hydrosol

- 1 one oz Container
What you’ll do:
- Sift clay to ensure all clumps are out.
- Mix in hydrosol and honey.

If you want to use essential oils in your mask, make sure to also add a proper carrier like a carrier oil.

How long can this face mask be stored? Is there any way to add preservative so that these can be given as gifts and/or sold?
We recommend this be used up within a week and stored in the fridge in an airtight container. A preservative definitely is an option, however you’d need to research this further to determine which preservative and at how much would be needed and is right for your needs. If selling is something you are interested in, we’d recommend taking some professional formulations classes that’ll help you formulate products that are safe, effective, and properly preserved for long term storage. 🙂
Could this mask be put into a stick form for easier/less messy application? My daughter loves masks but makes a huge mess in the bathroom with them!
Feel free to give it a try Krista, and let us know how it works out for you 🙂
Always looking for a way to elevate my bentonite masks. Can’t wait for it mother daughter night!!

I don’t have palmarosa. What would be a good substitute? Needs to be Kidsafe
Must try this one =) Very interesting recipe. Thanks for sharing.
Tip: Mix clay INTO liquids for a smoother mask. Also use non-metallic utensils.
