The possibilities of blends are endless when it comes to adding Kumquat Essential Oil. It can be the star of the show or bring a boost of sparkle to your blend. These mini-master blends can be placed in your diffuser or in a personal aromatherapy inhaler. Also, they can also be diluted appropriately in your favorite carrier oil for topical application or your favorite DIY base.
In addition, Kumquat itself is KidSafe® and safe under the sun. For more information about Kumquat Essential Oil, check out our post to read up on its history and benefits.
Because it is being mixed with other essential oils, we recommend checking out our educational charts on essential oil safety. Overall, try our DIY blends below, but of course, Kumquat blends well with other essential oils like Bergamot, Black Pepper, Chamomile, Frankincense, Lavender, Patchouli, Australian Sandalwood, and Vetiver.

Please make Kumquat available for purchase, love this oil!!
This is becoming one of my favorites! Such an amazing smell and starts my day off great!
That’s wonderful to hear, Lauren! Thank you for sharing!
Kumquat has become one of those oils that I find myself reaching for time and time again. I use it for my DIY cleaner, foaming hand soap, lip balm, diffusing…the list goes on! Unfortunately, I’m almost out and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it becomes a regularly stocked item, because I’m not sure how I will live without it.
It was a pretty popular oil, so we’ll see what happens! Keep your fingers crossed! 😉
PLEASE make this a regular purchase!!! I missed out on this OOTM and dearly need it! Thanks for the consideration!
Hi, Katie! Thank you so much for your comment — it’s feedback like this that helps us make decisions on our future products!
Mmmm yes please do make this a permanent member of the Plant Therapy Family! I love everything about this oil 🙂
It was a great one, very citrus-y and fresh. Loved it! I’ll pass it along that you want it to be added to our regular inventory. 🙂
Thank you for the recipes. I love Kumquat and I hope that Plant Therapy considers carrying this regularly. Can kumquat cause photosensitivity like other citrus oils do? Also I was wondering what the shelf life is after it’s opened. I really enjoy OOTM and the information that is provided with the oils, but I wondered if the shelf life could be included either with the sheet that comes with it or maybe in the blog post about it. Thank you again for all the great recipes and posts that you do. I really enjoy reading them.
I realized that I missed where it said that it’s safe for the sun. Sorry about that.
Hi Ali! My pleasure! I really hope you enjoy the recipes and experimenting on your own as well! I am hoping it will be added to regular inventory as well. It certainly has had a great response. Kumquat is safe for use in the sun. Plant Therapy guarantees shelf life of the oils for one year once it is opened. Like other citrus oils, Kumquat keeps a bit longer in the fridge and away from light and heat. I will share your wishes about including shelf life information. It also helps if you share them directly with our customer service team. They can be reached at [email protected]. Thanks so much!
Thank you for the information about storing it. I love experimenting with my oils and trying new things. The blog posts help me learn a lot. I really appreciate everything that you all do.
PLEASE offer the Peru Balsam for general availability!
That’s another great one for sure! I will pass this along, but it helps to make your wishes known to customer service! They can be reached at [email protected]. Here’s hoping!
Love all the recipes, thank you!
I’m so glad you love them! I loved creating them. Kumquat is such a joy!
