Check it out: We’re celebrating the end of Summer with some last-minute summer-y DIY’s (like this amazing Epsom Salt bath blend)!
Because we love our customers (you guys – we really do!), we decided that this month we wanted to hear YOUR favorite recipes that you love to make with Plant Therapy essential oils. We ran a contest in our SEOR Facebook group, and the three winners will be featured on our Plant Therapy blog!
Today, we’re sharing winner #3 with you. It’s a relaxing Epsom Salt bath blend by Amy Fields!
Getting Your Inner Ooommm On
- 1 cup Epsom salts
- 1 cup dried herbs (like rose petals, chamomile, or comfrey)
- 2 1/2 cups Castile Soap
- 36 drops of Loving Compassion Synergy
- 2 jars
- Muslin bags
What you’ll do:
very interesting recipe. I haven’t heard of putting dried herbs together with epsom salt before- I’ll have to keep this in mind. sounds so relaxing
Have been looking for how to incorporate EO into a bath! Castile soap! this was a helpful post!!
I’ve been wanting to try this for a while now and FINALLY did! Wow how relaxing and also helped with some muscle tension. I didn’t have muslin bags so I just cut smaller pieces of cheese cloth and tied them with string and it worked fine.
Was thinking for next time to add some fresh rosemary from the garden 🙂
Thanks for the recipes!
Ananya, adding fresh rosemary from your garden sounds absolutely wonderful idea for the next time you give this a try. We’re so happy to hear that it also helped relieve some muscle tension for you 🙂
This sounds great!! I love that you include recipes for oils!
Thank you for your comment, Lisa!
This sounds so lovely!!
Thank you for your comment, Tere!
Can’t wait to try this! Any substitution suggestions are appreciated; I don’t have loving compassion -yet!
Idk how I’d survive without the amazing stuff I learn from this website.
Thank you so much for your comment, Dawn!
I can’t wait to use this recipe in my next bath!
Hope you enjoy it!
This sounds so relaxing and soothing!! I can’t wait to try this one- and my tween-aged daughter would like to try this one too!
We hope you and your daughter enjoy this blend! Thank you for sharing, Tamara!
Sounds amazing!
Thanks, Elizabeth! We hope you get to give it a try!
I think this sounds like a good time. 🙂 I love bath bombs and I had to look up what the castile soap is. I have never heard of that before. I am all about making different recipes for the tub or anything. 🙂 I can’t wait to build a supply of oils so that I can make some different scrubs and such. 🙂
Ahhh yes, great idea about placing ingredients in muslin bags!! I had some epsom salts with lavender in them and once it all melted, it left lil lavender buds all over my body after the bath!! heheh Slightly annoying. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I am in love with loving compassion!!! This sounds great!
This has come at the perfect time, Im unwell at the moment and craving a bath. This will be heavenly! Thank you Plant Therapy.
Great recipe Amy! I love to use dried chamomile and Epsom salts together. I use empty tea bags but the muslin bags are definitely more eco friendly. So glad you shared your recipe! ♡♡♡
This sounds wonderful for bath. Where do you get the dried herbs? Congrats on your win!!
Can’t wait to try this out! Hurry up kid bedtime!!
will definitely try this one!
So easy to make and the synergy smells delicious, so did my bathroom after the bath.
Going to make this!
Are muslin bags a single use item or is this something that can be reused? Also where would a person find muslin bags? The recipe looks great and for once I even have the ingredients. I just need to find the muslin bags.
You can either make muslin bags or buy them. You can get them on Amazon. All you have to do is empty them out and throw them in the wash to reuse them. I would definitely avoid any fabric softener, though. It tends to make fabric water resistant.
Nice!
Sounds wonderful!
Ohhh holy wow! This sounds amazing!
