What you’ll do: 

Mix your master blend and let it sit for a few days to meld together fully. Put 15 drops onto a personal inhaler wick and enjoy!

  1. 6 months later and this is still my favorite inhaler recipe. Lately. I have been adding 1-2 drops of petitgrain to the master blend, it just works so well with the bergamot and neroli. I was hoping you’ll offer this as a synergy last Mother’s Day … maybe next year?

  2. I love th first three eos in the recipe, so I ordered Ho Wood. I will be making this one soon! I have been looking for calming/relaxing recipes without Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine (I react sometimes) and Lavender (I use it a lot!) for variety.

  4. I am definitely ordering the oils I need to make this. Just yesterday a friend told me I ‘wear too many hats” and I need to step back. This upcoming holiday season will not help.

    1. You certainly can make a larger batch to divide into smaller bottles for diffusion. Just be sure to dilute properly if you are intending on applying topically

    1. Great question Jessica! Inhalers/diffusers are more commonly used for emotional situations whereas rollers may be used more for things like injury, aches, skin problems, bruises, etc. Having an inhaler I is super convenient because they are portable, refillable and can be used anywhere without having to worry about possibly bothering someone else who is sensitive to scents.

  8. I have all but the Neroli and the Howood… I am a mom of 3 boys and going through divorce right now so this blend sounds like a must have. Any oils I can use to substitute the Neroli and Howood?

    1. Courtney, I think this blend will be perfect for you. You can sub Petitgrain for Neroli and sub Cedarwood/Sandalwood or Vetiver for the Ho Wood

    1. Hello Cristy! Yes, you can use in a diffuser. After you make the master blend, you can add 2-3 drops for every 100 ml of water in your diffuser 🙂

    1. Brenda, if you are referring to the Calming the Child blend, they will both have calming effects, but the scents are going to be different due to having all different oils

  9. Oh this is great! I guess I better start doing this blend especially if you have a 2year old toddler who is hyperactive like me.

    1. Ellen, it is good to allow the blend to meld before using. This allows the oils to blend together so you can get a better idea of how the blend will smell down the road. It will be difference than what it smells like when you first mix everything. So, depending on how patient you are lol

  12. I love the idea. However, I’m not a fan of make a blend of 20 drops and use 15 of them. What about the other 5? I have to use one of my empties to store it until I need a refresher.

    1. Andrea, if you are not wanting to hold on the the extra 5 drops until refreshing the inhaler, then you can always make a blend of just 15 drops, split as you’d like 🙂

  16. I am going to blend for the first time following a PT recipe. Is it best to wash or steralize with water bath before filling?

  17. Thanks for the tip of letting it “meld” together. Made a huge difference! I keep this in my purse and use it when I’m driving in traffic.
