What better way to discover new recipes than to ask our favorite people, our customers! What you’ll do:

Mix essential oils in a stock bottle and allow them to meld for 24 hours. This is your master blend.

Slowly melt Beeswax and Coconut Oil in a double boiler. Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Stir in essential oils, pour into molds, and allow to set. Remove from molds and enjoy!

If you don’t have Silver Fir on hand, substitute it with Balsam Fir for the same effect.

Kid Safe: Yes

  1. I love fall and all it scents. This sounds lovely. I’ll have to order the Silver Fir so I can give it a try. I have made wax melts, with a different blend of oils and they are amazing, so I’m sure these will be just as fabulous! I think my favourite part is that they’re kid safe!

  2. This is a great, easy DIY! I have so many extra containers from old wax melts, I just made a bunch of my own with these directions and they already smell amazing! Thank you plant therapy!

  4. I can’t wait to make was melts in all scents. I have a wax warmer and used to buy them from the store to freshen the air in my home. Love this healthier version.

  5. This sounds so lovely! I’ve always wanted to try making my own wax melts. These look simple and straightforward! Thanks, PT.

  6. Oh, thank you. I have 2 lovely warmers, but I am out of soy wax. I wasn’t sure if I could use another kind of wax. This blend sounds perfect too as I cannot get outside and play in the woods anymore.

  7. Can’t wait to try these out. Since I don’t have Silver Fir, I plan on substituting with Christmas Tree. Hopefully it comes out smelling just as nice.

  8. This sounds amazing! I’ve always wanted to try getting a good “Apple” scent. Unfortunately I only have 2 of these :/

  9. After seeing a couple of these diy’s I’m going to have to invest in some beeswax lol! This recipe sounds awesome

  10. These sound awesome! Definately going to try them and if I like them as much as I think I will I am going to use this blend in a soap also!

  11. This sounds great! Would these be used in a wax melt type of “diffuser?” Like the ones with a light bulb that heats the wax to make it melt/smell good? If so, does the scent last for the life of the wax? I just got one of those “candles” as a hand-me-down and am still learning the best way to use it! Thanks!

  12. Fall is my favorite time of year and I’m obsessed with all things fall (especially oil related fall things). I’m adding this to my list of things to try soon.

  13. This sounds heavenly. I will be trying this as soon as I get home from work! (Yes, I’m on Plant Therapy at work! Shhh!)
