I can’t wait to try this oil to reduce the appearance of scars
Was researching bruises, and was excited to find the “On the Mend” recipe here, because, coincidentally, I just heard amazing things about that recipe on the OOTM Facebook page. I think I know what I’ll be ordering for my birthday in a week… Heli oil! Yay!
I’ve had my eye on this oil for a while. My husband has one patch of severe eczema that seems to be resolving but the swelling and redness hasn’t gone away. I’m hoping that this oil will soothe the inflammation. I plan to make a calendula infused salve and add this oil to it along with lavender and frankincense.
I have heard it helps with tinnitus, does anyone have input on this?
I have also heard this and am interested if it’s true.
also interested in tinnitus help…..anyone?
Does this DIY need to be mixed with Lavender Fine, or is just normal lavender okay too?
And is there an alternative to Cypress that would be good for this recipe and that’s still KidSafe please?
Jess, using Lavender is just fine. For a KidSafe replacement of Cypress, I suggest using either Fir Needle or Balsam Fir 🙂
I bought Helichrysum to use in my DIY facial moisturizer with Aloe Vera Jelly and Fantastic Franks. The skin on my face feels so soft. It might not smell the best but the scent goes away quickly enough.
Is it safe to use a 3 -5% dillution for a facial serum? I thought it was 1% for all facial uses? Just looking into this before I get mixing.
You are absolutely right, Lesley! I updated this post to reflect that information 🙂
This is one of my favorite oils and allies. Like many, I put it in skin care blends. But it really is miraculous for issues of inflammation anywhere. I mix it with German Chamomile and diffuse it, or palm and inhale it, or apply to my throat and chest.
Im going to make a roller bottle with Heli for a friend to see if it helps some very old marks.
So bummed I missed the spotlight sale 🙁 Unfortunately my payday didn’t line up. Oh well on my wishlist it goes and hopefully I can get it later.
Have been really impressed with this EO for its effectiveness on scar. Have made it both for my sister and a friend who both were very happy.
I’ve heard so much about this oil, but it’s hefty price tag made it just wishful thinking until I saw the spotlight sale and snapped it up! Can’t wait for it to arrive and try out these recipes and blends!
We hope you love it, Erin! Helichrysum is such a wonderful oil 🙂
I have had my eye on this oil for quite a while now. I am going to take advantage of the 15% off this week and finally buy it. I am hoping it will help my daughters with their acne and me with age spots.
