  1. I just love this oil! Vanilla is so rich and delicious smelling! I especially enjoy it with lavender and peppermint, or any of the citrus oils.

  2. I just received Vanilla today and have had it in my diffuser all day! I LOVE it so much, it’s even better than what I thought it would be.
I added 2 drops Vetiver to the 3 drops Vanilla not long before my toddler went to bed, and it even made me feel calm and sleepy (not an easy feat)!
I adore this EO and know I’ll be ordering the bigger size next time (soon)!

  3. Just got today and can’t wait to diffuse it as its just heavenly! I hope it doesn’t clog my diffuser…

  4. I bought this as the spotlight oil and it was the push I needed! It had been on my wish list for 6 months. Since I got it I’ve followed the PT suggestion of infusing carrier oil with vanilla – I love to add frankincense to it! Smells like heaven. I love the quality of PT vanilla. I’d been ordering from another company for years but PT version is so potent – way better than what I’d been buying! And the possibilities are endless. I love it with lavender diffused for when company is coming, or mixed with just about anything! Due to the dermal issues with vanilla you have to be a little more creative about using it but it’s well worth the extra effort

  5. I’m so excited that Vanilla was the oil of the week, I finally got it! Unfortunately I have a stuffy nose and can’t smell it yet, but my husband says it smells like vanilla extract.

  6. I just can not get enough of this oil, it is just so yummy and pairs with absolutely everything ! A definite need in any collection in my opinion.

  7. My Vanilla Oleoresin arrived yesterday, 3/18/19, and I’ve been diffusing it with Orange Blood for an uplifting, Creamsicle-like mood booster. I LOVE it and will definitely be trying it with Jasmine in the future!

  8. I love this oil and makes a wonderful scent mixed with jasmine, ylang ylang, and either patchouli or vetiver (depending on mood!).

  9. I love to make solid perfume blends, but I saw your mention that Vanilla Oil will not dissolve in a carrier oil. I typically make my perfumes with beeswax, coconut oil, and essential oils. Is there another solid perfume recipe that would help incorporate the vanilla oil better? Or will the scent be fairly evenly distributed, even if there are vanilla speckles?

    1. Kathy, if you add your Vanilla Oleoresin to a bit of alcohol you’ll notice it immediately emulsifies and able to safely use in your DIY recipes. We wouldn’t recommend using Vanilla if it is not fully emulsified though, since you run the risk of getting it undiluted on your skin. 10. I can’t get enough of this. I mix it with equal drops vanilla, blood orange, and Buddha wood in unscented lotion for a “Calm” after shower/before bedtime body lotion.

    1. Oh? I just got Buddha Wood in the mail yesterday and was thinking it would be good with vanilla – I’m so glad to hear I guessed correctly! I can’t wait to try it. A lotion sounds like a great way to use oils at the end of a long day

  11. Vanilla O is definitely on my list! One of my favorite scents since 1994 when I ran into Vanilla Fields, a perfume from Coty which unfortunately has been discontinued for a while now…

  12. I love to blend this with Orange Sweet for a “creamsicle” smell, my whole family loves it. Thanks for the discount, sounds like this is the week to stock up!

  13. Vanilla O is definitely one of my top scents. I found this informative and it is good to know that it doesn’t mix completely with a carrier oil and better to use with a lotion or cream. I’m confused, however, on your diffusion instructions. On the bottle it says, “It will not mix with water or oil and can clog a diffuser” I love this scent so much but have shied away from using it in my diffuser for this reason.

    1. Stephanie, Vanilla Oleoresin runs a small risk of clogging a diffuser; however, this often does not happen to ultrasonic diffusers (like the aromafuse or novafuse) but we do recommend that you just make sure to wipe out your diffuser real quick when you are done running it to help prevent the Vanilla from building up 🙂 I hope this helps. You absolutely can diffuse Vanilla Oleoresin and it’s wonderful!

  14. I’ve been debating on ordering this oil for awhile now but after reading this article, I immediately added to my cart! Can’t wait to try it!

  15. This is one of my favorite oils! I love diffusing it or making bath products with it. It is just the perfect warm and comforting smell and blends so well with other oils.

  16. I got this oil for my mom since she loves anything vanilla! Almost every time I go to my parent’s house she is diffusing this, sometimes by itself or mixed with other oils. It always smells so good! I made her a sugar scrub with vanilla, coffee and orange – such a great smell!

  17. I’m super excited that this is the spotlight oil of the week as I have had my eye on vanilla oleoresin for few weeks and planned to purchase in the near future. Guess I am purchasing this week! Can’t wait to learn more about this oil!

  18. I love the hint of vanilla in my perfume blends, but I usually just add vanilla extract since it works fine in alcohol based perfumes. I absolutely love the Lemon Cupcake Synergy PT gives as a free birthday gift precisely because of the vanilla oleoresin that predomimates…I probably should just give in and actually buy it since I love the smell of real vanilla so much.

  19. I love this oil!! I’m so excited to try the diffuser recipe and escape to an exotic getaway!! I’m so ready for spring and warmer temperatures!!

  20. I love vanilla everything. I usually end up putting a drop of vanilla oleoresin in a lot of my hair serum blends, lotions, and creams because I love how it rounds out the scent profile. I also love to infuse my carrier oils with vanilla oleoresin.

  21. I’ve been eyeing this oil for a while. Unfortunately, I have a monthly oil budget & I am going to have to pass as I am in need of Lavendar & peppermint at the moment. Hoping to try this soon though! Am adding to my wishlist.
