I love these informative videos. I would appreciate however, if you would include an expiration date on each.
I just got Geranium Bourbon! I’ll be printing this recipe for my DIY file. It would be nice to know how many tubes this will fill. It looks like about a 1.5 to 2 oz yield, so I will probably half the recipe, but still, I wonder how many tubes I’ll end up with. Hmmm…
It looks like most lip balm tubes are 3/16 of an ounce. So you’ll probably end up with about 10 tubes!
Hi! Thanks for the wonderful recipe! Can’t wait to try it out! Just wondering, how long will it last and should it be refrigerated? I have not watched the video so if that is addressed I missed it. TY PT

Hi Sarah! You can sub other oils out for this recipe as you like, that’s totally fine!

After watching the live video today on YouTube, I immediately got out my supplies and made this Cuticle Balm. I didn’t have Geranium Bourbon so I substituted Geranium Egyptian. I filled 7 lip balm tubes with the mixture. Wow! I can’t believe how much this softened my rough cuticles! I can’t wait to share some of my extra tubes with my friends and family. Absolutely LOVE this recipe! Thanks Plant Therapy!
I just saw the live. So once you applied it to cuticle, do you massage it in or wipe it off afterwards?
Hi Pascale! I would massage the balm in. So glad to hear that you caught the live! 🙂
OMG!! My nails need this so bad and I have all of the ingredients!! I guess I have a weekend project!! Thank you for posting!!
My nails and cuticles are in such bad shape. Is there anything i can use instead of ho wood
You can substitute other oils that are good for your skin like Lavender, Frankincense, Myrrh or Elemi.
I’ve been wanting a cuticle recipe. I love how PT has helpful blogs.
I love the video on how to made the Geranium Bourbon Cuticle Balm it was so simple and easy to make. I need to make this ASAP.
This is just what my nails need! I will be making this
I can’t wait to try this on my cuticles.
This sounds great! What does the honey do? Can it be substituted with something else or left out all together? Also, I like to melt the waxes together and then add the essential oils once off the heat. This recipe says to mix the essential oils with the jojoba oil and then add to heat, would this effect the oils benefit at all?
This sounds interesting. Can you sub Geranium Egyptian for Geranium Bourbon or does Geranium Bourbon have unique properties for this?
Both varieties are good for your skin and would work well in this recipe. The main difference is that Geranium Bourbon is better for reducing redness in skin while Geranium Egyptian is good for aging skin.
My nails really need this, I’m making it today! Thanks for all the great recipes! #iloveplanttherapy
My skin and nails really took a hit after receiving chemo. Looking forward to making this and helping my cuticles!
