Additional Reading

Frankincense is one of the most popular essential oils out there. Its benefits are so revered that it’s even called the King of Oils. Here at Plant Therapy, we offer more than one variety. If you’re curious about the difference between the different oils, be sure to check out our posts on the different types of Frankincense. Now let’s get on to the good stuff.

Smoothing & Rejuvenating

While Frankincense Frereana might seem like the go-to skin-loving oil, Frankincense Carteri is right up there! It’s especially good for helping to smooth and improve the appearance of mature skin. We recommend a dilution of 1-2% for facial application. This oil pairs perfectly with our Younger Glo carrier oil blend. Next time you decide to make a DIY face serum, don’t forget to add this oil to your blend.

Aches & Pains

When life gives you aches and pains, reach for Frankincense Carteri. Whether your joints are starting to feel wear and tear that comes with age or are hurting from overuse, this oil can help. Just dilute to 3-5% in your favorite carrier oil and massage onto the areas of concern. Your joints will thank you!

Comfort & Peace

In times of grief and sadness, essential oils can help. By adding a few drops to your diffuser, it can help bring comfort, peace and an atmosphere of calm. Sometimes you’re mourning the loss of someone special or sometimes life just particularly rough. A peaceful, soothing environment can make all the difference.

Healthy Immune System

Another one of the amazing benefits of this oil is that it helps promote a healthy immune system. For those of you that travel, have children in school or spend a lot of time in a busy office, you know how important it is to stay healthy. Who wouldn’t want to avoid a week of sniffles and coughs!?

  1. I’ve got one on the way from PT and I can’t wait! I used to be with a mlm oil company and when I ran out of my 5ml bottle, I could never get one again-it was so darn expensive. So I’ve been waiting a long time for Frank, lol! I just didn’t realize that the one from them was a blend, so I hope I love this Carteri too.

  2. I use this a lot in lotions for my face, I am a big Wet Shaver and this stuff helps after you are constantly run hot, sharp steel over you fave multiple times !!! lol

  3. I am pretty sure Frankincense cures everything including love and war ;). I’m diffusing it right now by itself to find my center and calm down after a bad day; I may add some copaiba too in a few minutes. I know someone that swears just rubbing (diluted) Frankincense on her skin a few times a day for a few days cured her frost bitten finger. I have 3 oil storage boxes 1 for citrus/floral oils, 1 for everything else including synergies, and 1 for travel. There is a bottle of Frankincense in each! If you don’t have Frankincense, it is my opinion this should be in your arsenal above all other oils.

  4. I LOVE Frankincense Carteri!! I have two out of the three Franks offered from PT and Carteri is by far my fav!! I often use it for immune health & to ease joint pain. I’m glad to know it’s good for skin too! I don’t want to say I use it for everything, but I use it for so much!! Also, the smell is so comforting!

  42. This is my favorite Frankincense. It has a milder scent (I like to say it’s the least like kerosene of them all – LOL!) I use it every night in my diffuser, usually with Patchouli, Bergamot, and a drop of Vetiver. Also use in my DIY facial serum. First time i smelled this it brought back an instant memory of setting up the nativity set when i was a little girl in the early 60’s – I’m pretty sure the box and packing materials were scented with Frankincense. Glad to see this on Spotlight, I will be buying the big bottle 🙂
