Do you use this like a bar of soap in the shower and keep it there in a moist environment? Thanks in advance.
You are correct, it makes a solid scrub bar. But it’s probably best to store it outside of the shower.
The sounds amazing!
Can I substitute Castile soap for the soap base?
Unfortunately not. This recipe calls for the melt and pour soap base because it will harden to create these body scrub bars. Since Castile soap is liquid, it wouldn’t be a good substitute.
You can make it into a body wash instard
Ill have to try this!! All.i need is the melt and pour soap. Wonderful ideas pt gives.
I love that not only do you give us these wonderful ideas, but that with a click of a button it is added to our cart!!
oh my gosh! That’s an amazing recipe! But aren’t 39 drops a little bit too much? I mean, if I want it to be less smelly, I guess I’ll just use less than 39… 🙂 And I’ll use brown sugar instead!
Hi Cristina! Feel free to adjust this recipe to your own tastes…brown sugar will work just fine!
This sounds amazing! Can’t wait until the weekend to try it! I think I’ll use one of July’s OOTM!
You had me at “Tropical”!! I will be making this for sure…I was just at the beach over 4th. July weekend. I LOVE the beach…
Just made this. Super fast and easy-and smells so good!
I made this this morning. I used tropical passion. After adding the sugar it got hard fast. I had to press in into the molds. I can’t wait to try it out.
I can’t wait to try making this!
This is a wonderful, easy recipe! Thanks for posting, I’m always looking for tried and true recipes.
Just made this! So easy and smells so good!
This will make a change to my regular body scrubs.
This sounds absolutely lovely for Summer!! For sure gonna have to give this a try!
I am going to make this today!
Love this idea!!!
Interesting. I thought it was a scrub in a jar but it’s not. Something I’m interested in trying but have to get soap base and molds.
I have even used soap that I already have and use in the house. I just either grate it or it usually cuts up pretty easily with a knife into small cubes that melt nicely.
Becci Dougherty: Did you melt the soap in the microwave?
This sounds delicious (although I won’t eat it)! Thanks for the idea. I need to go check out that tropical passion now.
This sounds so nice!! Tropical passion is on my wish list!!!
This sounds like a fun project. I’m sure it would work with sea salt or Himalayan salt as well.
I can’t decide on Tropical Passion or Honeybell, so I’ll have to make one of each! Great idea for summer.
