I’ve seen two shield me recipes on your site and one call for an emulsifier and one doesn’t?
Hi Amy, I hope I know which one’s you’re talking about. But we often use Everclear or high-proof vodka in our spray DIYs because Everclear acts as both a preservative and an emulsifier, so there is no need for an added emulsifier.
These are some great ideas! I always like to take a little better than kisses “owie stick” for my kiddos for the bumps and bruises! Thank you Plant Therapy for all of the DIY ideas.

Very nice blog, as usual! The non-toxic bug spray is truly effective. I have a bottle spray ready that I bring with me on places that I know we’d need protection against bug bites. I will make the buzz-off lotion bars. It sounds like another winner!
