KidSafe: What It Means

KidSafe… it’s all in the name. When you buy an essential oil blend or single with the KidSafe logo, you can trust that they are absolutely safe to use on your precious kiddos. And here’s why.

KidSafe Means Safe

KidSafe: What it Means

When creating our KidSafe line, it was important to start with the basics. Which meant we had to create a list of only oils that are completely safe for use with children. Any oil that came with any sort of caution was automatically out. Ylang Ylang was excluded because it’s a potential skin irritant. Peppermint also got left out because it can potentially cause breathing problems. And so on. After that process, all that was left was a list of essential oils that are safe for the kids.

KidSafe Means Designed for Kids

As hard as adulting might be, kids have their own set of issues that they struggle with. It can be anything from a runny nose to trouble sleeping to anxiety at school. Each of our KidSafe blends is designed to help with these specific issues. Calming the Child can help slow revved-up minds and emotions, Sniffle Stopper promotes clear breathing, and No Worries can calm the mind and soothe those frazzled nerves. And that’s just a handful our blends! There are so many more. The best part is adults can enjoy them too.

KidSafe Means Effective

One of the requirements for any Plant Therapy blend or synergy is that it actually works. The same goes for our KidSafe line! We worked with Robert Tisserand, leading expert in the industry, to create these blends. The result is affordable, effective and safe essential oils.

So next time you’re shopping for one of our KidSafe products, you can know exactly what it means when you see that KidSafe logo on the front of the bottle.

  • I cannot express my appreciation for all that you do PT! I had always been interested in oils but felt intimidated and overwhelmed with ALL THE THINGS. Thank you for making a kidsafe line, thank you for expanding into household & personal items, and an especially big thank you for CBD products. You make the EO world easy to understand and incorporate into one’s life.

  • Thank you for helping with this. My sister uses an MLM brand that doesn’t give any guidance so I’m trying to learn about this stuff because she’s using oils on her grandchildren. I just hope she hasn’t caused any harm.

  • I never realized how oils could have a different affect on my kids! I’m so glad I ran across Plant Therapy’s KidSafe line. It’s a go to for me and I have peace of mind when using them with my kiddos! 😀

  • When it comes to using products safe for children, what is the general age guideline? Also, does that mostly mean I should not diffuse these oils or use topically on children? Can I still use on myself and be around my children, or should I just not keep them in the house at all? I’m very new to oils 🙂 Thank you!!

    1. Our KidSafe oils are intended for kids ages 2-10. And you are correct, you won’t want to diffuse or use non-KidSafe oils on your children. You can still use them on yourself, but you’ll want to be careful if you’re going to be in close proximity to your kids. For example, Peppermint can irritate breathing. You can always reach out to our team of aromatherapists at [email protected] if you ever have any questions about using oils around your kids.

  • I am thankful for the Kid Safe labels & education. It makes it easier to diffuse when my grand daughter is here. The blends are great as well. Ear Ease has been a life saver for my granddaughter!!!

  • One more thing to remember these eo’s and the dosage work out fantasticly for all us gma’s and gmpas to and make great ideas for Christmas gifts, inhalers, diffuser, lotion, soap and if the kids are old enough to help you are not only making a wonderful memory, but teaching making and giving

  • What’s the easiest way to find out what is in a blend that makes it not kid safe? My children are 7, 9, and 12 so since they’re a little older I’d like to possibly use some blends that aren’t labeled kidsafe if I understand what oil is keeping them from that label and why. Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • This is great info! Thank you for rising above all of these other ‘popular,’ companies to truly educate people about safe oil use!

    1. Yes! I love that PT is so dedicated to educating about safe EO practices, not just making a buck. Thanks Plant Therapy!!!! You truly care about us. I love that you label it right on the bottle, “Kidsafe”, taking the guess work out of it for us.
