It’s September 1st! The day on which students return to Hogwarts via the Hogwarts Express. This day is celebrated by fans around the globe who grew up reading about “The Boy Who Lived.”
Hogwarts students are not the only children returning to school. This time of year, muggles and wizards alike are heading back to their classes. And while they may not have to study for their N.E.W.T.s or worry about “He Who Must Not Be Named”, it can still be emotionally and physically challenging.
So pull out your potions books, turn to page three hundred and ninety-four and make a note of these magical essential oil recipes!

This is my FAVORITE blog post ever!
Love these so much! Can’t wait to build up my oil collection so I can make some of these <3
Kudos to this idea – what fun!
Oh my goodness! These blends seem to be super cute and useful to boot! My sister is law is a 3rd grade teacher who is incorporating HP theme into her classroom. I will have to share these with her.
What is an equivalent scent substitute for bothering sandalwood and Coriander? I’ve a bunch of oils, just not those two.
Hi Stacey, Amyris would probably be a good substitute for Sandalwood. Coriander Seed is a little trickier as it has a more unique fragrance profile. You could try either Black Pepper or Bergamot (or one drop of each).
This is such a creative post for customers. I don’t have any Harry Potter lovers in my household, but that won’t stop me from using these blends for sure 🙂 High Five to you, Plant Therapy, for being trendy and offering something that is this creative and exciting for families to share. I can understand some children may resist the use of essential oils, especially if they have a medicinal fragrance. Making it this fun is so exciting.
So creative! Definitely want to try the Butterbeer blend.
I am wondering are these pet safe as well?
All of the oils used in this blog are KidSafe and there are only a handful of oils that are KidSafe but not Pup & Pony safe. You can find a comprehensive list here. But for these recipes, Vanilla Oleoresin is the only oil that is not Pup & Pony approved.
Wow! Over the top, PT! ⚘
Vey creative!I Think I’ll give these Harry potter blends a try!
Wow! How can I bookmark this blog?! So many of these blends sound amazing but all of them have at least 1 oil I don’t have. I guess I’ll be adding them to my wishlist. Thank you Plant Therapy for always giving your customers new and fun ways to use these amazing oils. I keep seeing yuzu and majoram sweet in blends. What do they smell like?
OMG This made my day! I haven’t been diffusing lately but now I have to look at my collection to see what I have for oils to begin my potion experiments. 🙂
I really like these Harry Potter-themed blends. Thank you so much for the post.
This. Is. Awesome! I was just thinking about watching all the movies again! You guys at Plant Therapy rock! I think I’ll put my broomstick up, have a Butterbeer and chill at the Three Broomsticks! Thanks for a great post!
These recipes and scents are perfectly in line with their Harry Potter themes. I love the names and the idea, super cute! I definitely want to try some of these blends!
