Green Cardamom CO2
Cardamom has been used for centuries in medicines, cosmetics, perfumery, food flavorings, and more. The Elettaria cardamomum tree is an evergreen perennial from the ginger family. It’s native to forests in Burma, India, and Sri Lanka, but has been successfully cultivated in other tropical regions as well (we source ours from Guatemala). The tree itself grows on cane-like stems up to 15 feet tall and has leafy shoots with long, narrow leaves and yellow fruit pods.
Green Cardamom CO2 has an incredible fragrance that stays true to that of the fresh plant material. Its radiantly rich scent is warm, green, herbal, and balsamic-woodsy in a way that is both sweet and spicy. This oil stands apart from its steam-distilled variety because the CO2 extraction process preserves all the facets of the plant’s profile, resulting in an aroma much closer to the original scent. In addition to its pleasing fragrance, Green Cardamom is incredibly useful for supporting healthy digestion and easing an upset stomach. It also offers valuable respiratory support when seasonal threats are in the air so that you can breathe clearly. And Green Cardamom CO2 can even help produce a passionate and sensual atmosphere when you’re in the mood for romance.

I am a little obsessed with this oil! But I’m getting pretty low, so hopefully it will be available to purchase soon! Definitely a favorite.
I bought 2 because I love it so much! I hope it’ll make a return one day!
I am a big fan of Cardamom. Please make this part of your permanent lineup!!!
The Green Cardamom has become one of my favorites. It really helps with my asthma when I use it in my diffuser or just inhaling directly from the bottle. Would love to get a bigger bottle of it. This was my first oil of the month purchase….can’t wait to see what next month is.
Green Cardamom CO2 was my 1st Oil of the Month and I LOVE IT! The sweet, yet spicy scent smells so good. I’ve been diffusing it, and cannot stop sniffing the air! I would be thrilled to see it as part of Plant Therapy’s regular line up, as Green Cardamom is now one of my favorites.
What a lovely and exciting oil! Can’t wait to do some blending. Thanks for the recipe.
Love the smell of the green cardamom. It smells so clean! I’m actually sitting here somewhat sad I won’t be able to buy more after this month. Please add it to the permanent line up!
* Pup also approves he keeps trying to smell the diffuser!
This oil is soooo wonderful!!! The OOTM Club is fantastic! I love being able to try some of the more interesting oils – plus the anticipation of what’s coming next is fun too. I’m looking at some of the past oils, and may just have to snag a couple of those before they’re gone.
I wonder how it smells in comparison to Cardamom? Sounds like an excellent oil, but I am not able to afford at the moment.
Definitely one of my favorites I hope this becomes a permanent oil as I would love a larger bottle of it. Soo good! I am loving these unique oil of the month oils lately.
