What you’ll do:

In a medium bowl, combine your essential oils and carrier oil. Then add the school glue and food coloring and mix well. Add the baking soda and mix again. While stirring, add the contact lens solution and wait for the slime to form. Remove from the bowl and work with your hands until it becomes stretchy, ooey, and gooey. If the mixture is still too tacky, add more contact lens solution 1/2 Tbsp at a time. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.

  1. Just made 4 batches of this slime with two kiddos and it turned out great! We used Orange Essence, Toy Soldier, and Sunshine. Thanks for the recipe!

  2. I have been wanting to make slime for myself for a long time. I think I will make this one. Thanks.

  3. Do you happen to know what particular ingredient(s) in the contact lens solution are the activator? I use a brand called Clear Conscious that is thimerosal-free and chlorhexidine-free. And I’m wondering if it wouldn’t work because it doesn’t contain all of the standard solution ingredients? Thanks!
